DIGITALT SELF DEFENCE
We live in an experience-driven society in a digitized world where the digital realm will continue to play an increasingly influential role in our lives. Consequently, the demands on how we address new challenges and protect ourselves from them are also on the rise. However, how do you engage an audience that has grown up with the internet - one that lives with uncertainty as a condition for being online?

Digital Self-defense is a community initiated by Telenor, with a focus on promoting a movement for digital security among young people aged 25-30. The goal is to empower this demographic with ownership and control over digital media. The format involves workshops, talks, and events that not only provide knowledge and tools but also offer a social experience. The idea is that a workshop should be able to compete with other experiences, such as going to the movies or attending a concert, activities that the target audience is already willing to spend money on.

Additionally, the concept begins in Copenhagen but can expand anywhere as it is not location-specific but only requires a great venue. Telenor is the driving force behind the initiative but outsources the responsibility to a team of experts in the field who operate Digital Self-defense. This approach grants them autonomy, thus enhancing their credibility.
